Our story

The history of Luxury Worldwide Collection dates to 2001, when our CEO Edward Rom set up the EFR Travel Group, selling flights and hotels from an office based at his home. With a rapidly growing following of loyal customers, Edward expanded the business shortly after, employing three members of staff and opening a small office in his hometown of Bushey, Hertfordshire. From constant organic growth and acquisition The EFR Travel Group now employs over 60 people based in our head office in Bushey as well as other offices in Manchester and Glasgow.

Always a visionary, in 2003 Edward launched Destination Dubai; one of the UK’s first online-only tour operators and a pioneer of holidays to Dubai. As the demand for luxury holidays to Dubai grew, the Maldives and Mauritius were added to the portfolio, offering customers the perfect twin-centre combination. Our repeat customers began to request new destinations and our various brands merged into Luxury Worldwide Collection in 2010, offering an expansive selection of luxury hotels, resorts and cruises around the world.

Today, Edward remains at the heart of the business and his vision, entrepreneurism and passion for excellent customer service are apparent in everything that we do.
