The resort stretches along the northeastern coast of Crete. From the white pebbly beach, you can enjoy spectacular views of Spinalonga, a small historical island which is five minutes away by boat. Meanwhile, the seafront tavernas and traditional ships in the small fishing village of Plaka, are five minutes away on foot. Elounda is less than three miles away, home to a bustling harbour and the incredible ancient underwater city of Olous, while Aghios Nikolaos offers vibrant nightlife around 10 miles away.

Consisting  of 47 luxury bungalows and suites including the amazing Phaea Blue Villa (which comes with  Chef & Butler service), rooms feature modern amenities and elegant furnishings, creating a calm space to relax and come with a mix of spacious terraces, verandas and private heated pools.

For dining, head to the Blue Door taverna for fresh, local seafood served in a restored fisherman’s stone house, right beside the shore, or visit Anthos for meals masterminded by award winning Consultant Chef, Athinagoras Kostakos, followed by signature after-dinner drinks. You’ll find more Cretan flavours at the Phaea Farmers Feast pop up restaurant, offering a communal farm-to-table experience with local farmers, set in the organic garden (this event is available at select times of the season). At Votsalo Bar, sip local wines and creative cocktails crafted by skilled mixologists, with views of the sea.

Down by the water, the reimagined fisherman’s hut that houses Blue Door Taverna captures the tastes of the sea with secret family recipes. It’s also down here where the private beach and its sunbeds can be found.
