Offering generous floor plans and premium furnishings, our 26 Monarch Beach Suites have separate living and sleeping quarters. The living room is furnished with a convertible sofa bed and has handsome wood-frame glass doors leading to a private balcony. A marble guest bath is just off the living area. The bedroom has one king bed, a second balcony, and a full marble master bath with an oversized soaking tub, a separate two-person shower, and premium bath products.

Our two expansive Monarch Suites are ideal for small business or social gatherings. The spacious living room includes a large conversation area facing a fireplace; nearby is a dining room that seats ten and a half-bathroom. A wet bar and pantry further facilitate the entertaining of guests. The master bedroom featuring a king bed leads to the master bathroom with a separate Jacuzzi tub and two-person shower. Surround yourself with the refined amenities of a Royal Suite. Unwind by the fireplace in the large conversation area; the living room also features a wet bar, a pantry, and a half-bathroom. A nearby dining table seats six guests. The master bedroom provides a plush king bed, while a separate Jacuzzi tub and two-person shower highlight the master bathroom. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom Presidential Suites are our largest, most luxurious accommodations. Multiple balconies, including a large terrace with a fireplace, overlook the ocean. The living room features an entertainment center, a fireplace, and grand piano, while the adjoining dining room has a table that seats ten. The all-marble master bath has a separate steam shower and Jacuzzi tub. Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Butler Service is provided.

Each of our 44 Executive Suites features one king bed and a spacious living area furnished with leather chairs, a coffee table, and a custom-made area carpet. The Monarch Beach Golf Links, with an 18-hole championship golf course and mild year-round weather, is the perfect Orange County golf vacation destination. Designer Robert Trent Jones, Jr. modeled this Dana Point golf course after the Scottish links style course, strategically crafting the Monarch Beach course along the Pacific Ocean. Summer Monarch Butterly Release

The Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach signature butterfly release was created to honor the sacred breeding grounds of the Monarch Butterfly – located on the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach property. After a procession through the main lobby to the ocean view terrace, and a reading of the Monarch Butterfly legend, a Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Butler releases dozens of live Monarch Butterflies. A truly memorable event, the Butterfly Ritual is an enchanting experience for the entire family.

Summer Children’s Stories and S’mores

During the summer, join us every Friday and Saturday in May through September, from 8:00pm for fireside storytelling. This remarkable event is great for families to gather to roast marshmallows and enjoy stories told by the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Storytellers, dressed as book characters such as Alice in Wonderland, The Cat in the Hat, Fancy Nancy and Snow White.

Orange County Wave Riders

Let your child learn how to Surf, Body Board or Body Surf, the best way, the only way, the Californian way! With the finest equipment provided, only the best instructors will be conducting classes at our private beach club every day with a reservation. Wave-riding is offered seven days a week. Classes are conducted by the beach lifeguards for one to three hours in groups of up to 3 children.
