The Director’s Cut: Review of Atlantis The Royal by Edward Rom, our CEO
A new hotel which opened its doors in March 2023, Atlantis the Royal has been created by some of the world’s leading designers and architects. Located across from Atlantis The Palm, the hotel looks out over the Arabian Sea with breathtaking views.
Here’s what our CEO Edward Rom thought about his first time visiting the newest resort in Dubai.
Upon entering Atlantis the Royal, the hotel lobby area welcomes you with gorgeous artwork and flowers. The first impression is bound to be unforgettable.
We decided to stay in a Royal Club Room, if you’ve booked a Royal Club Room or Suite, it has its own designated check-in area that differs from the normal check-in area.
During our stay we were upgraded to a suite. With the suite upgrade a butler is assigned to you and will escort you directly to your room for an In-Room Check-In. Our personal butler guided us through this process. The whole experience was seamless and efficient. The butler service is there to help with all sorts of aspects of your trip. They will connect you to a WhatsApp group to ensure efficient communication and will go above and beyond to organize activities and make restaurant reservations based on your requests.
If you book a Royal Club Room, you’ll have access to a fantastic lounge area where you can enjoy breakfast, snacks throughout the day, and drinks at any time. I would highly recommend selecting a Royal Room to take advantage of these benefits.
The hotel features two generously sized pools, one of which is attached to the Nobu Beach restaurant. The Royal Pool offers a lot of space for sunbeds, providing you with the perfect place to unwind. The Royal pool never seemed overcrowded, so you can enjoy your relaxation time to the fullest.
The resort’s beach is large, stretching across its entire length. The sunbeds are well spread out, allowing you to enjoy your own space on the beach. The service at the beach was also great, you have a button located near your chair that you can press at any time to order food or drinks.
You can head over to the Water Sports Centre at the far end of the beach. This centre offers a range of water sports activities, such as kayaking, and windsurfing.
On the Beach, there are two excellent restaurants that we had the pleasure of dining at Seascape and Nobu. Both offer a diverse range of cuisines to choose from and the service was second to none.
There a plenty of great dining options to choose from at Atlantis the Royal, but you do also have the option to dine at Atlantis the Palm if you would like. The two resorts give you so many options, that you don’t even have to leave the resorts.
At the Royal, the all-day dining restaurant offers an impressive 17 food stations serving cuisine from all over the world. This is a fantastic option for those who wish to enjoy a variety of dishes without having to visit speciality restaurants.
During our stay at the Atlantis, we dined at the Spanish Tapas restaurant, located within the Royal Hotel. The stunning views, along with the amazing dishes, made it an unforgettable experience. We then tried the renowned Milos Fish restaurant, with its perfect location overlooking the resort. Then Nobu and the Steak restaurant Seafire, both located within Atlantis. Each restaurant served up fantastic food, and the quality of the cuisine was amazing.
My overall summary of the hotel was very positive, I will definitely be returning to Atlantis the Royal. Before I arrived, I was sceptical about staying in a larger hotel than we normally do, however after our arrival, we soon realised this resort had everything we needed for the perfect stay.
Atlantis Royal certainly did not disappoint and for me, this is now one of the best in the ever-growing landscape of hotels in Dubai, perfect not only for couples but for families also.
