The majority of ingredients are sourced from the organic farm or harvested from the ocean. in the evenings, diners can enjoy a Creole speciality night, with a beach barbecue or sushi and sashimi prepared from the day’s catch.

Take to the water on a canoe. Go snorkelling to uncover the hundreds of colourful fish – triggerfish, clownfish and rays – and turtles, around the coral reef. Spot bigger fish, reef sharks, whales and dolphins further out. Learn how to dive or experience a new fantastic diving spot courtesy of the PADI dive centre.

Or simply tour the estate and its farm, which is beautiful. Guests can also play tennis and enjoy the jogging trail. On a nature tour of the island, rare endemic birds can be spotted, as well as turtles laying their eggs on the protected shoreline.

There may be no actual spa centre on the island, but the resort’s therapists believe enjoying a treatment in the privacy of your own cottage is the best way, or on the beach in the open air in front of your accommodation.

Essential oils collected from the island are used in treatments, which are inspired by Seychellois, Indian and Swedish techniques. Treatments included massages, hair treatments, manicures and pedicures, body scrubs and wraps, and facials.
