Rated as one of the world’s finest hotels, with Michelin-star dining, Palazzo Avino is a delightful five-star hotel poised high up in the medieval village of Ravello on the Amalfi Coast.

With panoramic vistas of the coast’s picturesque fishing villages below, the hotel has 33 rooms and 10 suites, each ornately decorated with antique carpets and brass accessories, and furnished with 18th and 19th century furniture, emitting a traditional ambience of times gone by.

Formerly a 12th century private villa for an Italian noble family, the hotel still retains many of its original features, and its stunning rooms are bright with elegant marble interiors and fabulous views.

Dining at Palazzo Avino is a unique experience, featuring candle-lit dinners in the acclaimed Rossellinis Restaurant, casual dining with magnificent views at Terrazza Belvedere, and exciting and exclusive dining at the Chef’s Table. There are also two bars – the newest and most spectacular being the Lobster & Martini Bar, serving the freshest local lobster paired with Champagne or Prosecco, or 100 different hand-crafted martinis.

Everywhere you are at Palazzo Avino is framed by amazing sea and mountain views, including from the 20-metre outdoor swimming pool amongst the pretty gardens. The spa, next to the pool, boasts massage and treatment cabins, a hydro-pool, sauna and Turkish steam bath. There is also a gym in the gardens, overlooking the sea, where you can keep fit whilst admiring the beautiful landscapes around you – it’s not your average gym! Not forgetting the roof-top solarium with two whirlpools, where you can relax in serenity or watch the iconic sunsets with a drink in hand.

Guests of the hotel also have exclusive access to the Clubhouse by the Sea, located in the small town of Marmorata, just 15 minutes away. There is complimentary access to the beach platforms for all hotel guests (based on availability) along with a small swimming pool, the casual Clubhouse Restaurant, changing rooms and relaxing living rooms. A complimentary shuttle service will take you to the clubhouse from the hotel and bring you back again.

The living area features a Jacuzzi hot tub ‘centre stage’ and is adjoined by a large outdoor terrace overlooking the Mediterranean Sea that is ideal for dining al fresco. This is the largest and most beautiful suite in the hotel. Situated on the top floor of the building, this bi-level suite has a large living room with a dining area and guest bathroom, one bedroom and one large bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath and separate large shower.
