Enjoy a luxurious holiday in Antigua.
Jumby Bay Island, managed by Oetker Collection, is an exclusive and secluded island property, named after the Antiguan word ‘Jumbee’ meaning ‘playful spirit’.
Access to this stunning island resort is via a six-minute boat ride from Antigua. Largely unchanged for centuries, and famed for its lack of cars, jet skis and beach vendors, this private 300-acre setting has a rich biodiversity, three picture-perfect beaches and one of the world’s primary Hawksbill Sea Turtle reserves.
There are no urban intrusions on Jumby Bay Island whatsoever, and accommodation takes the form of a collection of villas and estate homes plus 40 exquisitely appointed suites and guest rooms. This all helps to conjure an ambiance of isolated peace and tranquillity, heightened by the natural beauty all around.
Worlds away from the Caribbean crowds, this luxurious retreat in Antigua has 250 local staff, many of whom return to the mainland each night leaving behind a handful of colleagues, home owners and guests on their dream holiday – meaning that Jumby Bay Island is truly the place to be if you want to get away from it all.
On your luxury Antigua holiday at Jumby Bay you can enjoy fine dining at The Estate House, lighter fare at The Pool Grille, and for those seeking an authentic gastronomic exploration there is A Sense of Taste, which provides guided trips into the heart of local farmlands and incorporates regionally harvested produce and distinctive cooking skills, all the while surrounded by pristine, white-sand beaches.
Facilities on offer include Sense Spa, where you can enjoy access to five personal spa suites and treatments that incorporate ingredients grown in Jumby Bay’s own gardens, a fitness centre and two beautiful swimming pools. Activities include golf – where you can play on Antigua’s only 18-hole championship golf course at Cedar Valley – tennis, island-hopping excursions, ocean adventures and more.
Very few resorts in the Caribbean can offer a private getaway quite like this one; Jumby Bay Island, Antigua, is quite simply the very epitome of a luxury holiday retreat.
